“Fairer World Cup” was a Football Manager 2024 project published exclusively on Fuller FM in the lead-up to the 2026 men’s World Cup.
In this project, players represent the lowest-ranked nations that they are eligible for (according to the FIFA World Rankings for July 2023). For example, Harry Kane played for the Republic of Ireland instead of England. This would in theory spread out the best players across more nations – and allow less established nations to be more competitive at the World Cup.
This series followed a ‘fairer’ World Cup in its entirety – from the qualifying rounds to the tournament itself in North America. Expect plenty of drama, shocks and fairytales.
So… who would be the new kings of football in a world where more nations could select their best players?

DOWNLOADS
If you want to use the same database as I did in this project, you can download it from either of the links below. Please remember that this database is only compatible with FM24 and will probably not work on any other version of Football Manager.
I have also provided a Microsoft Excel workbook containing the full squads of all 48 teams at the finals tournament, plus additional player data and statistics.
