Having first made it into the Premiership, and then won every major domestic trophy, it’s now time for the endgame. I have just three seasons left in which I want to win the Champions League… and a world championship.

On 8 February 2001, when I was 10 years old, I bought my copy of Championship Manager: Season 00/01 from my local Woolworths in Romford. These days, it’s now a post office that doubles up as a pound shop, but I digress.
I’d already been playing Champ Man for a couple of years, but it was CM00/01 which firmly cemented my addiction to the series. It was also on CM00/01 that I played my first of MANY save games as Millwall manager. As a tactical novice with a habit for recklessly chopping and changing my squad, I somehow fluked a promotion through the Division 2 play-offs in my first season – but once we made it to Division 1, it all came crashing down.
Now two-and-a-half decades older, and a little bit wiser, I decided it was time to shine some new light through old windows. I was ready to go back to The Den once again.
On 8 February 2026, I booted up CM00/01 and began a brand new career with Millwall. My challenge was simple, but not easy. With 25 years’ worth of Championship Manager knowledge and experience under my belt, could I lead this third-tier club all the way to the top of English, European AND world football… in just TEN in-game seasons?

Here we go, this is it. It’s the season 3 finale – and potentially the final episode – of “Millwall Firewall”.
With three months to go in the 2025/2026 season, Millwall are right in the Championship play-off mix – and big Jake Cooper’s constant threat from set-pieces has made us a real force to be reckoned with. (Now might be a good time to catch up on the previous chapter if you haven’t already.)
Now we have 16 games left to consolidate a top-six place and make a final push for promotion to the Premier League.
This is my last chance to lead the Lions into the promised land. Failure is not an option.

It’s time for the next chapter of my Millwall story – and for once, things are actually going quite well for us!
In Part 7, we kicked off the 2025/2026 season by bringing in several new signings, which have breathed new life into our promotion hopes. We sit in 4th place in the Championship table after 10 games, with the fans and the board now starting to believe that we can finally make it into the play-offs!
Can we carry this good form through the autumn months and into the new year? Read on to find out…

It’s now time to kick off the third – and possibly final – season of my Football Manager 2024 series with Millwall!
It all went horribly wrong in the previous chapter, where a six-game losing streak curtailed our play-off challenge and plunged us into the bottom half of the EFL Championship. The chairman still gave me a new contract, but after two years of disappointment, the fans are losing their patience.
This chapter will open with the summer transfer window, in which I look to add more quality to a mediocre Millwall team. We’ll then see how those changes pan out as we kick off the 2025/2026 season with 10 league games, and the opening rounds of the EFL Cup.
It really is promotion or bust now. At the end of this season, either the Premier League or the scrapheap will beckon. Maybe the third time will be the charm…

It’s time to wrap up the second season of my Millwall save on Football Manager 2024 – and once again, we have the Championship play-offs in our sights.
In the previous chapter, my Lions recovered from a rough start to the 2024/2025 season and clawed themselves back into contention for the top six. And having made two new signings in January, we believe we’re in good shape to sustain a play-off challenge.
Today’s post will take us through the final four months of the campaign. Will it be yet another season of heartache for Millwall fans, or is this finally our time to shine? If nothing else, at least we know our goalkeeper can save penalties with his back turned!

The Millwall firewall has held pretty firm so far in the 2024/2025 season, conceding just the 21 goals in 10 Championship matches! You can read all about that in Part 4, in case you missed it.
We now pick things up in October 2024, where my Lions are fighting to stay clear of the relegation zone – and I’m battling to save my job. No, I’m definitely not panicking at all!

In the previous chapter, we began the Championship campaign with some erratic results, requiring a mid-season change of tactics. Now we’re back in form – and hoping to make a charge into the play-off places.
