Welcome – or should I say, velkommen – to the second season of my latest Football Manager 2019 career in Norway.

Marit Enstad’s first year as manager of Lyn 1896 could not have gone much better. Taking charge of a team who’d just gone up to the 2. divisjon, she almost pulled off back-to-back promotions. Alas, Lyn just fell short of the play-off places on goal difference, but expectations will no doubt have been heightened for the 2020 season.

We’ve now come to the end of Marit Enstad’s first season as manager of Lyn 1896 on Football Manager 2019. Having taken the reins following the former Norwegian champions’ promotion to the 2. divisjon, could she make an immediate impact and take them further up the leagues?

This post will recap Lyn’s fortunes in the league and the Cupen during the 2019 campaign. As ever with my end-of-season reviews, I’ll also provide some player statistics and reveal who won the club’s awards (SPOILER: one player claimed a hat-trick). I’ll then detail my initial plans for the winter transfer window before finishing up with a general look across the Norwegian leagues.

We’re getting to the business end of Marit Enstad’s first season in charge of Lyn 1896. Lyn are still right in the mix for promotion to the 1. divisjon, but the sale of a teenage starlet behind the manager’s back has rather soured the mood at the Bislett.

Welcome to the latest part of this new Football Manager 2019 adventure. Lyn have enjoyed a decent start to the 2. divisjon season, which you can read about here in case you missed the previous chapter.

Today’s installment will take you through the middle part of the 2019 season. That will include the mid-season break and transfer window, where there’s a possibility that a couple of the club’s hottest prospects could be poached by bigger Norwegian clubs.

Welcome back. It’s good to see that so many of you are already following along with this new Football Manager 2019 story. As much as I enjoyed managing Fiorentina, and as much as I enjoyed managing Shrewsbury Town (okay… for the most part), this is already shaping up to be my most enjoyable career on FM19 yet.

Welcome to my third Football Manager 2019 story on Fuller FM. Following my previous exploits with Fiorentina and Shrewsbury Town, this will be my main save for the rest of FM19’s life cycle (if not beyond).

In “Lyn On Me”, we will follow the progress of Lyn 1896, who play in the third division of Norwegian football. More than 50 years have passed since Lyn were last crowned league champions, but they’re looking back up again after some difficult times.
