“Nacka’s Yard” was my final Football Manager 2024 story, published exclusively on Fuller FM.

After Football Manager 25 was delayed for several months, I decided to return to FM24 with a new save. I took charge of Nacka FC – a part-time club in the 4th tier of Swedish football – with the simple aim to take them as far as possible until FM25 was finally released (or not, as the case would be).

Unlike my previous stories on Fuller FM, each chapter covered a single season in its entirety – at least initially. As the series progressed, I eventually started writing two chapters per season.

SEASON 1 (2024)

CHAPTER 1: The Swedish Are Coming

I arrive in Sweden to meet my cosmopolitan bunch of part-timers for the first time. I soon turn Nacka into the best team in Division 2… at least according to xG.

SEASON 2 (2025)

CHAPTER 2: Growing The Beard

After winning the xG trophy in my first season, Nacka have their sights on a league trophy. We enlist a couple of hirsute centre-forwards… and a goalkeeper named Ronaldo.

SEASON 3 (2026)

CHAPTER 3: On The March

Nacka are now in the Ettan Norra, but can they make it back-to-back promotions? Or will our dreams be derailed by a couple of full-back transfer sagas?

SEASON 4 (2027)

CHAPTER 4: All The Goals!

Some old heroes depart, but new stars emerge as Nacka take their first steps into professional football. Expect plenty of goals at both ends as the Örnarna fairytale continues.

SEASON 5 (2028)

CHAPTER 5: It All Falls Apart

After four successful seasons at Nacka, what could possibly go wrong? How about an injury crisis, a staff exodus, and the most shocking collapse you’ll see this side of Aberdeen?

SEASON 6 (2029)

CHAPTER 6: MENDOZA!!!

Nacka push forward again, with a new foreign legion and another bunch of loanees in tow. Can they prove that attack is the best form of defence?

SEASON 7 (2030)

CHAPTER 7: The El Bassil Brush Show

Disaster strikes at Nacka, as the Superettan’s most fearsome attack suddenly forgets how to score goals. And the less said about their goalkeeper, the better!

SEASON 8 (2031)

CHAPTER 8: Noels House Party

Two Egyptian princes and a goal machine arrive at Nacka for a ‘make or break’ year. The stakes are high as a dramatic race for promotion comes down to crinkly-bottom time.

CHAPTER 10: Made In Mozambique

Nacka make their Allsvenskan debut, but can they possibly survive in the top flight? With the signing of a pacey Mozambican wonderkid, anything is possible!

SEASON 10 (2033)

CHAPTER 11: SECOND SEASON SYNDROME?
CHAPTER 12: EUROTRIP

After a dream start to life in the Allsvenskan, Nacka get ready for a first crack at European football. Can their young and talented squad cope with such a hectic schedule?

CHAPTER 13: UP-EN FOR THE CUPEN
CHAPTER 14: ROLLERCOASTER

Nacka’s ascent continues with an extraordinary run in the Svenska Cupen. Led by a couple of devastating wide attackers, they soon set their sights even further afield…

SEASON 12 (2035)

CHAPTER 15: THE FALL OF CÉSAR
CHAPTER 16: READY TO CHALLENGE?

As work on a new stadium begins, Nacka aim to bid farewell to the Fisksätra in style. However, a potential title push is disrupted by injuries, unhappiness, and a deep European run.

Nacka’s new era at Gröna Dalen finally begins. Buoyed by a huge cash injection and the emergence of a new goalkeeper, Örnarna are now ready for a major title push.

After being forced to leave their new stadium for more building work, Nacka begin the year with some cup and continental success. But then their Allsvenskan dream turns into a nightmare.
